Almost Ballerina

Patsey's new hobby for couple of months has been classical ballet. Since she had never ever danced anything, she decided to start with the hardest one. And after those two months was her ballet premiere, in front of the camera though, whilst her ballet group Wannabe Ballerinas was attendig music video shoot for a finnish artist Olavi Uusivirta. Loving Mr. Tapiovaara

Yesterday Patsey did so far the biggest investment to her flat-to-be. Considering she doesn't even live in the flat yet, and is about to do total renovations there, this is a big thing. The item was a Pirkka table designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara. Strategic measures of the new baby are 150 x 80 cm, and there are two benches on the sides. Colour is dark brown and black.

The Pirkka series were designed originally in 1955 and produced by Laukaan Puu. Patsey would have wanted the original table and benches from 1950´s-1970´s, but those were sold in various sizes and conditions. So when she found that perfect combination, in which the color and size fit perfectly, she took the offer. Now the dear table is waiting to be transferred to her temporary home, at the warehouse of Aero design shop. And hopefully in some months the flat around the table will be ready too.

Exciting times we live

Moving from one place to another is always hard. But even harder it is when one moves herself to another place than her things.

Few moths ago Patsey found her dream flat in Punavuori, Helsinki. If the flat was great and reasonally priced, the problems were major too. The flat was sold with a tenant in it, who still after three months hasn't moved away, and the pipes in the building were about to be renovated soon.

Therefore poor Patsey found herself in a situation in which she was about to move her things to the garret of her new flat, and she'll be moving with her ex-flatmate. Once separated, together again! Great thing was that the temporary flat was found easily. Now the challenge is to figure out what she will need for the next few months.

In Sweden they have everything

Bored as hell at work, one day Patsey found a funny tool to make pictures to look like pictures of miniature things. She decided to try that feature offered by Tiltshift immediately. Funny thing was, that the first picture she found was from a toilet in Stockholm. That toilet was obviously specifically made for giggling and gossiping girls, since one toilet had two toilet seats. That's actually really clever, since so often girls tend to go to toilet together. This way the queues get shorter and toilet trip more comfortable. Great swedes, great!

Great music comes from Helsinki

On Wednesday evening Patsey and her friends spent a nice evening at club Tavastia. Playing there were some of the hottest bands and dj's of the moment. The ones Patsey completely fell in love with were Villa Nah and Helsinki 78-82. The latter also played the music for this summer-like Helsinki based cruising video.

Peniche

Even though Patsey was worried not to be able to travel due the lack of holidays, she realized that there are always national holidays! So when Patsey first noticed that on Easter there are whole four days off, she immediately started planning for a trip to somewhere almost warm. Since Patsey is also enthusiastic (though not very good yet) surfer girl, she looked for a place in which there would be waves too. Finally she found the place that filled both requirements: Peniche in Portugal.

The holiday itself was great, Patsey and her friends spent one day in Lisboa and then the next three days at Peniche Surf Camp located to peninsula of Baleal. Three days surfing at spots Lagide and Cantinho da Baia, sun tanning and making jokes about Peniche (last che is pronounced as ss). After the holidays her face and hand were slightly reddish whilst the rest of the body remained as pale as usual, thanks to the wet suit, but Patsey and her friends were very happy and satisfied. For sure she will travel to Portugal another time too.

Traveling

One on Patsey's favourite hobbies is to go traveling. Last year she started counting and realized that she had been to 8 different countries during the year. That, she thugh was a lots of fun. Unfortunately the next year didn't seem so good. Since Patsey started at a new job she didn't have enough holidays and therefore chance to travel around. Best she could do was to look at the pictures from the previous trips. Like this set fron Zarautz Spain.

Internet's little slave

After volleyball training Patsey came home, sat on the sofa and opened both TV and laptop. Luckily there was Patsey's favourite TV show, The Simpsons on. For some reason she has been a huge Simpson's fan for years. Seen all the episodes, sat in the premiere when the movie came out, and is now watching previous seasons with comments while waiting for the new episodes.

After the Simpsons Patsey wanted to know what's on next. She went to her favourite TV-page telkku.com, but oh no! It was not working! What a shock for a girl who's used to do almost everything through the Internet. After scratching her head for a while she realized a magic button in the remote control. With the magic button she was able to see what's on next straight through the TV. Except that she didn't find anything amusing enough and therefore ended up watching the Simpsons from a video.

The Beginning

On one cold tuesday afternoon Patsey Givens finished work and head towards her home. January was in its latter half, and the winter had been surprisingly cold in all Finland, including Helsinki where Patsey lived. On that specific tuesday afternoon temperature was -19 degrees, and Patsey, packed with her thickest winter jacket, felt extremely cold. On her way to Metro station the idea just came out of blue: why not to start a blog. Slipping her way to the Metro the idea developed. At home Patsey heated some of her famous vegetarian lasagna, and started googleing for a blog platform. After finishing her first blog update, which was about starting the blog, she decided to pack her things again and head out cold again for the volleyball practise that was abut to start.
